{"id":31956,"date":"2023-02-23T13:19:45","date_gmt":"2023-02-23T12:19:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/1000miglia.it\/?p=31956"},"modified":"2023-03-06T12:04:55","modified_gmt":"2023-03-06T11:04:55","slug":"the-coppa-delle-alpi-2023-has-been-presented","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/1000miglia.it\/en\/2023\/the-coppa-delle-alpi-2023-has-been-presented\/","title":{"rendered":"THE COPPA DELLE ALPI 2023 HAS BEEN PRESENTED"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The third edition of the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/1000miglia.it\/en\/events\/coppa-delle-alpi\/coppa-delle-alpi-2023\/\">Coppa delle Alpi by 1000 Miglia<\/a><\/strong>, the winter regularity race for classic cars that will open the Italian Great Events Championship 2023 between <strong>March 1 and 4<\/strong>, has been presented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There will be <strong>76 cars<\/strong> that will drive 1100 km among majestic peaks, passes and crossings. In addition to the 19 Italian crews, there will be 16 Belgian and 14 German crews. The Netherlands, Switzerland, Spain, Israel, Poland, the USA and the United Kingdom will also be present. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The participants will be challenged by <strong>7 Passage Controls, 11 Time Controls, 90 Time Trials and 10 Average Trials with 60 Secret Trials<\/strong>. Trophies named after St. Moritz, Innsbruck, Brixen and Bormio will be awarded along the route, and the Vredestein Trophy will be awarded on the snow surface in the Montebello Quarry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event will have its prologue in Brescia: at 11 a.m. on Wednesday March 1 the <strong>\u201cBergamo Brescia Italian Capital of Culture 2023\u201d Trophy<\/strong> will kick off a series of Time Trials on a city circuit. In the late afternoon the official start will take place in <strong>Tirano<\/strong> and, after the night crossing of the <strong>Bernina Pass<\/strong>, the first leg will end in <strong>Switzerland<\/strong>, in the center of <strong>Saint Moritz<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Three nations on the second day: return to <strong>Italy<\/strong> and passage to <strong>Lake Resia<\/strong>, transit through Germany with the <strong>Fernpass<\/strong> crossing and arrival in <strong>Austria<\/strong>, in the heart of <strong>Innsbruck<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Brenner Pass<\/strong> will bring the third leg back to Italy: passing in front of the <strong>Tre Cime di Lavaredo<\/strong>, stopping at <strong>Lake Misurina<\/strong> and the Passage Controls in <strong>Cortina<\/strong> before tackling the Dolomite peaks and passes and closing in Tyrol, in <strong>Brixen<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The final leg will wind through the <strong>Sciliar-Catinaccio Nature Park<\/strong>, <strong>Lake Carezza<\/strong>, the <strong>Mendola Pass<\/strong> and the <strong>Tonale Pass<\/strong> before reaching the final finish line in <strong>Bormio<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Guaranteed <strong>acceptance to the 1000 Miglia 2024<\/strong> for the winners of the overall, general Average Trials, category and prologue classifications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a download target=\"_blank\" class=\"wp-block-button__link btn\" href=\"https:\/\/1000miglia.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/coppa-delle-alpi-2023-press-release-1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Read the Press Release <span class=\"link-arrow\" aria-hidden=\"true\">&gt;<\/span><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The third edition of the Coppa delle Alpi by 1000 Miglia, the winter regularity race for classic cars that will open the Italian Great Events Championship 2023 between March 1 and 4, has been presented.
