From 26 to 29 September<\/strong> the Red Arrow <\/strong>will make its debut in Austria<\/strong> with the <\/strong>1000 Miglia Warm Up<\/strong> <\/a>format. In the past, this format has held four editions in the Washington D.C. area, three in Switzerland and one in the United Kingdom. In just over two weeks’ time, the event format devised by 1000 Miglia to better prepare foreign crews for the sporting part of the race, which takes place in Italy, will arrive in SalzburgerLand<\/strong> and the Austrian Alps<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a first day of training at the Salzburgring<\/strong>, a circuit on the outskirts of Salzburg set in an Alpine valley, the route will wind its way over 544 kilometres<\/strong> starting from Salzburg, with a stop at the Hans-Peter Porsche Traumwerk Museum<\/strong> in the German town of Anger, passing through the Hochalpenstrasse<\/strong>, to the highest mountain in Austria, the Grossglockner<\/strong>. It will then continue to Lienz <\/strong>in East Tyrol, and finally Mittersill, <\/strong>which will host the day’s finish line, on the edge of the Kitzb\u00fchel Alps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Saturday 28th, the competitors will set off from Mittersill, pass Lake Zell<\/strong> and cross the Salzkammergut<\/strong> region. After a stop on the lakeside promenade in St. Gilgen<\/strong>, the convoy will return to Salzburg. In the city, the participating cars will drive through the magnificent old town, ending the race at the Mozartplatz.<\/strong> This will be followed by a presentation of the cars at the magnificent Residenzplatz.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participation in the event is open to cars belonging to the \u201c1000 Miglia Era<\/strong>\u201d category, which includes models built between 1927 and 1957, and to \u201cPost 1000 Miglia Era<\/strong>\u201d cars, i.e. sports and Grand Touring cars built between 1958 and 1976.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The crew that wins in the overall classification will be guaranteed admission to the 1000 Miglia 2025<\/strong> and will be honoured in the Red Bull Hangar-7<\/strong> at Salzburg Airport, where the winning cars will be exhibited alongside the collection of historic aircraft, racing cars and helicopters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In conjunction with the 1000 Miglia Warm Up Austria, the Porsche<\/strong> Challenge<\/strong> will also take place, in which a maximum of 20<\/strong> vehicles of the Porsche brand<\/strong>, built from 1977 to the present day<\/strong>, will be allowed to compete alongside the historic vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n
