Having left Samedan<\/strong>, a town just outside Saint Moritz overlooking the Inn River<\/strong>, the crews then entered the Swiss National Park.<\/strong> After yesterday’s heavy snowfall, the scenery is enchanting and the race route, especially on the mountain passes, could become even more challenging, especially for the drivers with the older cars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first trial was the Average Trial uphill on the Fuorn Pass<\/strong>, at the end of which the convoy arrived in the Val M\u00fcstair<\/strong>. Here a series of Time Trials were held, followed by a passage control near the Monastery of San Giovanni<\/strong>, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Returning to Italy from the Tubre Pass, was Lake Resia<\/strong>, on whose shore another series of trials were held. After a refreshing coffee break<\/em> by the lake, the competitors will set off again, this time for Austria<\/strong>. An Average Trial immersed in the mountains of the Kaunergat Nature Park<\/strong> will precede a lunch stop in Stams<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The penalty classification updated after the trials in Val M\u00fcstair show Belotti-Plebani in the lead in their 1927 Bugatti T37 A, followed by Di Pietra-Di Pietra (1938 Fiat 508 C) and Ginesi-Rohr (1973 Porsche 911 2.4 T).<\/p>\n\n\n
