To improve safety it was necessary to limit the number of cars in the competition and so instead of 450, only <strong>430 cars<\/strong> shall be at the departure point,&nbsp;belonging to&nbsp;<strong>71 automobile manufacturers.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the sixth year in a row, there will be <strong>5 cars belonging to the Military category<\/strong>, driven by members of the Italian Armed Forces.<br>This year also, there shall be some side shows at the 1000 Miglia reserved to roughly <strong>130 modern cars<\/strong>: the <strong>Ferrari Tribute to 1000 Miglia<\/strong> and <strong>Mercedes Benz 1000 Miglia Challenge.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 425 teams accepted for the race are from <strong>32 countries<\/strong> and all <strong>5 continents<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The cars which took part in at least one of the twenty-four of the 1000 Miglia racing events held from 1927 to 1957 are 98.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The country with the most participants is still Italy with 36% of the participants admitted. The Netherlands is in second place with 15% of those accepted, followed by Germany with 10% and the United Kingdom with 9%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The car maker with the most vehicles is Alfa Romeo with 39 cars, followed by Jaguar with 36, Fiat with 31 and Mercedes-Benz and Lancia with 29.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The accepted cars will go from Brescia to Roma and back in four days, travelling for <strong>1801 kilometres<\/strong> and facing<strong> 112 time trials<\/strong> and <strong>7 hourly average tests<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a download target=\"_blank\" class=\"wp-block-button__link btn\" href=\"https:\/\/1000miglia.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Vetture-Accettate-1000-Miglia-2019-agg.-04032019.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">List of accepted cars <span class=\"link-arrow\" aria-hidden=\"true\">&gt;<\/span><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As is traditional, the 1000 Miglia has chosen&nbsp;Geneva&nbsp;to make its presentation to international media.
