The <strong>thirty-eighth edition<\/strong> of the historical re-enactment of the race held from 1927 to 1957, will start from Brescia on the <strong>13<sup>th<\/sup> May<\/strong> returning on Saturday the <strong>16<sup>th<\/sup><\/strong><strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the starting tape this year there will be <strong>400 cars<\/strong> selected by a special commission among those timeously registered on the site <a href=\"http:\/\/www.registro1000miglia.it\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong><u>www.registro1000miglia.it<\/u><\/strong><\/a>, within the closing date of registration for the 1000 Miglia 2020, to be carried out as always online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>THE ROUTE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On <strong>Wednesday the 13<sup>th<\/sup> May,<\/strong> from<strong> Brescia<\/strong>, the procession of vintage&nbsp; cars will cross the picturesque towns of <strong>Lake Garda, Desenzano <\/strong>and <strong>Sirmione,<\/strong> and will continue through <strong>Villafranca<\/strong> <strong>di Verona, Mantua, Ferrara <\/strong>and <strong>Ravenna<\/strong> to conclude the first day of competition at <strong>Cervia &#8211; Milan Marittima<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From <strong>Cesenatico<\/strong>, the next day the cars will go down to <strong>&nbsp;Urbino, Fabriano, Macerata, Fermo <\/strong>and <strong>Ascoli Piceno<\/strong> to enter the areas that still bear the signs of the 2016 earthquake, passing through <strong>Macerata, Fermo, Ascoli Piceno<\/strong> and <strong>Amatrice<\/strong>. From <strong>Rieti<\/strong>, vintage cars will arrive in <strong>Rome<\/strong> where, after the usual parade through the streets of the Eternal City, the second stage will end on the ever exciting <strong>via Veneto<\/strong> catwalk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the third day, <strong>Friday the 15<sup>th<\/sup> May<\/strong>, at the start of the early morning of the third and long leg, the cars will reach in succession <strong>Ronciglione, Radicofani, Viterbo<\/strong> and <strong>Castiglione d\u2019Orcia<\/strong> to then stop again in the magnificent <strong>Piazza Il Campo di Siena.<\/strong> Going up from <strong>Lucca,<\/strong> the cars will leave Tuscany crossing the <strong>Cisa Pass<\/strong>, to then stop in <strong>Parma<\/strong>, the <em>2020<\/em> <em>Italian Capital of Culture<\/em> city, which will welcome the crews for the last night of the race.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Saturday, 16<sup>th<\/sup> May,<\/strong> the fourth and final day will see the passage from <strong>Salsomaggiore Terme<\/strong>, from the village of <strong>Castell&#8217;Arquato<\/strong> (Piacenza), from <strong>Cernusco sul Naviglio<\/strong>, the town in the province of Milan recently named the European City of Sport 2020 and then from <strong>Bergamo<\/strong>,&nbsp; before concluding the competition on the arrival ramp of <strong>Viale Venezia in Brescia<\/strong>, where it all began 93 years earlier, in 1927, with the first <em>Coppa delle 1000 Miglia<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the news announced today at the press conference also the launch, by Automobile Club Brescia and 1000 Miglia Srl, of the Freccia Rossa&#8217;s <strong>candidacy process on the Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO<\/strong>, which aims, also through the participation of communities and institutions, including the Municipality of Brescia, to register the 1000 Miglia among the UNESCO sites in 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a download target=\"_blank\" class=\"wp-block-button__link btn\" href=\"https:\/\/1000miglia.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/1.Press-Release_11-Oct.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Read the press release <span class=\"link-arrow\" aria-hidden=\"true\">&gt;<\/span><\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a download target=\"_blank\" class=\"wp-block-button__link btn\" href=\"https:\/\/1000miglia.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Roadmap-A4_1000-Miglia-2020.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Download the roadmap <span class=\"link-arrow\" aria-hidden=\"true\">&gt;<\/span><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 1000 Miglia 2020 has been unveiled today.
