A packed hall at the Italian Embassy in Beijing today hosted the presentation of the first edition of the 1000 Miglia Experience China, an event that from 14 to 17 November 2024 will bring the Red Arrow to the Land of the Red Dragon for the first time.
In the presence of the First Councillor of the Embassy, Marco Midolo, the CEO and General Manager of 1000 Miglia, Alberto Piantoni and Francesca Parolin, signed the licence agreement with representatives of the Federation Classic Car China, which will organise the event for the next 2 years.
The 1000 Miglia Experience China 2024 will take place in southern China’s Guangdong province, the first Chinese region to have trade relations with Europe, and more precisely in the Canton (or Guangzhou) area. It will be open to 6 different classes of cars, starting with those belonging to the 1000 Miglia Era class, which includes the cars and models that took part in the 1000 Miglia speed race held between 1927 and 1957.
During the presentation, and for the next three days, one of Canton’s most representative buildings will be illuminated with the symbols of the 1000 Miglia and the upcoming event, for which entries will open shortly.
