ANDAVAMO A MILLE: THE 1000 MIGLIA AT THE THEATRE WITH GIOELE DIX

The show, presented by 1000 Miglia and Centro Teatrale Bresciano, will be on stage at the Teatro Sociale in Brescia from the 26 November to 1 December

The Red Arrow has always been more than a race, then and now. To describe a normal car race, two numbers would suffice; one indicating space and the other, time. For the 1000 Miglia it is different, and Gioele Dix knows this.

The Milanese actor, known to the general public for his appearances as a cabaret artist on Zelig and Mai dire gol, has distinguished himself as a playwright, actor and director, especially in the theatre. With Andavamo a Mille, Dix is staging an unprecedented project; a tribute to The Most Beautiful Race in the World presented by 1000 Miglia and the Centro Teatrale Bresciano, the latest step in the collaboration between the artist and the city’s theatre centre, which has been producing his new creations for the stage on a national scale for several years. The show will be staged on six dates at Brescia’s Teatro Sociale, from 26 November to 1 December, after which, for those interested, there will be the possibility of taking it on stage in other locations around Italy, those where the 1000 Miglia 2025 will be passing, and others.

Backed up by the sparkling presence of Valentina Cardinali and a musical quartet, with a rhythm at times suspended, at others cadenced, and at others still, in a crescendo, Dix moves with dexterity between anecdotes, thoughts, life experiences and almost comic interludes, accompanying the spectators on a journey into the past, full of love for the car and its history, so inextricably intertwined with that of The Most Beautiful Race in the World.

With this project, 1000 Miglia wants to emphasise, strengthen and celebrate the link with its origins, while at the same time narrating through art its own world of history, values, humanity and legend.
