Coppa delle Alpi: after the second leg still Moceri-Bonetti in the lead

At the end of the second leg of the Coppa delle Alpi the driver from Palermo, Giovanni Moceri , assisted by Daniele Bonetti from Brescia, remains at the top of the general ranking in a 1964 Alfa Romeo Giulia GT. The same crew won the leg trophy of the city of Seefeld. Behind the paediatrician Moceri, winner of the 2019 1000 Miglia, there is the couple from Campobello di Mazara (Tp) formed by Mario Passanante, Italian champion of the Italian Regularity Vintage Car Championship. He is driving a 1955 FIAT 1100/103 saloon, alongside his wife Anna Maria Pisciotta. The crew from Lumezzane (BS), made up of the driver Ezio Sala and Romano Bacci with a 1937 Aprilia 1350 saloon, has remained in third position.

After the first leg that ended in Bressanone, today the cars passed through Cortina d’Ampezzo and then paraded past the Tre Peaks of Lavaredo before crossing the Austrian border and arrived in Seefeld, the finish line of the second leg, during which the cars drove through 7 Alpine passes (Sella, Campolongo, Pordoi, Valparola, Falzarego, Tre Croci and Brennero), a tough test for the endurance of the crews and vehicles.
