The 1000 Miglia brand identity project developed by Nascent Design, has received the Communication Design award 2018.
The Red Dot Award is one of the most important international awards for design excellencies that stand out for their innovative ability. Designers, agencies and companies from 45 countries around the world took part in the 2018 edition, which received almost 9,000 applications.
For 1000 Miglia, Nascent Design curated the creation of a brand new visual identity system, with the aim of creating a “Lifestyle Brand” strongly renewed in its distinctive features, through a new language able to communicate the founding values of the brand by updating them. The key element of the new vision of the 1000 Miglia brand is the arrow, originally its historical emblem, now reinterpreted and multiplied. A sign that can stand alone or in groups, assuming different roles and meanings, depending on the hierarchy and the content in which it is included. The arrows and their uses define a dynamic and flexible language, suitable to be declined on multiple supports, evolving over time, to ensure a timeless image. The new identity is aware of the importance of historical values, but also wants to broaden the imaginary with a very contemporary language.
