1000 Miglia Experience UAE returns in december for a glittering second edition

1000 Miglia and Octanium haveannounced the return of the 1000 Miglia Experience UAE, taking place from 3-7, 2023. After a highly successful 2022 edition, which drew more than 7,000 visitors and reached over 24 million people on social media, the 1000 Miglia Experience UAE is back with a modified route that includes an all-new destination: the Sultanate of Oman.

  • 120 participants from 31 countries around the globe.
  • 1600 km

Highlights from an outstanding line-up of classics include:

  • a 1931 Alfa 6C 1750 GS “Aprile”
  • a 1969 Aston Martin DB6
  • a 1968 Ferrari 275GTB4
  • a 1956 AC Ace
  • four stunning Ferrari Dinos
  • eleven legendary Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwings.

The Opening Day will move to the Meydan Racecourse. At this iconic setting, the public will view all the participating vehicles while crews train for the challenges ahead. On December 4, the crews will commence their epic 1,600 kilometres journey across the UAE. Leaving Dubai, the crews will head straight for the Ras Al Khaimah border where the rocky outcrop that comprises Oman’s breath-taking Musandam Peninsula will await them. Following this unprecedented international expedition, they will then return to Ras Al Khaimah. From the sunny coasts of Ras Al Khaimah, the race charts a course upward to return to the Jebel Jais mountain, a trial with a dizzying climb that would severely test a modern vehicle – let alone cars that are nearly one hundred years old. After a relaxing stay in Fujairah, the race will return to Dubai before diving headfirst into the power towers at Dubai International Financial Centre with a Passage Control under the world-famous Gate Building, before concluding at the Queen Elizabeth 2 liner for the evening. On the final day of the event, the crews will enjoy a traditional lunch in the desert before heading to Abu Dhabi and the thrills of Yas Marina circuit. Finally, they will arrive to the cheers of a welcoming crowd at the ADGM square at Maryah Island and the Prize-Giving Ceremony at the Park Hyatt Hotel Saadiyat Island.

Alberto Piantoni, CEO 1000 Miglia: “Narrating, sharing and bringing to life the spirit of the Red Arrow through our events also in territories outside Italy is a great pleasure before being a great commitment: the more than one hundred crews that will take the start in the second edition of the 1000 Miglia Experience UAE are the confirmation that the format has great appeal also in new lands.”
