THE SECOND LEG COMES TO AN END IN INNSBRUCK

After passing over the Innbrüke, the bridge over the Inn River that gives the city its name, the cars headed into the center of Innsbruck for the end-of-day Time Controls in the front of the Imperial Palace.

In a winter with little snowfall, particularly popular were the Time Trials on snow held immediately after the start inside the Montebello Quarry, valid for the Vredestein Tyres Trophy.

According to the participants, the clear skies made the alpine views of this leg, especially Resia Lake, even more beautiful. The second day of the race could not have been more special for newlyweds Karsten and Patrica Wohlenberg, Crew n. 48, who chose the Coppa delle Alpi for their honeymoon and, after their car broke down yesterday, were able to celebrate their first week of marriage aboard their 1968 Porsche T11.
