1000 MIGLIA EXPERIENCE UAE 2024: FROM 1 TO 5 DECEMBER THE RED ARROW RETURNS TO THE EMIRATES

56 Time Trials and 7 Average Trials await the 90 partecipating crews, totalling 1600 kilometres

The engines have started up in Dubai, from where the 1000 Miglia Experience UAE 2024 has kicked off. The event, organised by Octanium Experiences under licence from 1000 Miglia and now in its third edition, officially began yesterday at the spectacular Emirates Golf Club, with technical and administrative checks and a training session for the crews, followed by the public display of the 90 competing cars.

Mention must be made of a 1928 Bentley 4.5 L Le Mans, a 1936 Lagonda LG45, a 1938 V12 Le Mans and a 1961 Fiat Osca 1500 S Cabrio. Among the modern cars, a Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato and a Koenigsegg CC Prototype stand out.

This morning the crews set off for the first of the four-leg race: driving through the Sharja area, the drivers reached Hatta, where they stopped for lunch. This was followed by the drive up to Fujairah through the mountains, before returning to the Persian Gulf and ending the day’s racing in Ras Al Kaimah.

On the second day of the race, the crews will tackle the steep ascent of Jabel Jais, which at 1934 metres above sea level holds the status of the highest mountain on the peninsula, queen of the imposing Al Hajar mountain range. In addition to the effort demanded of the drivers from their cars, even more so in the case of the older specimens, the crews will enjoy a unique panorama of the desert and the surrounding valleys. After descending through the desert hinterland of the UAE, the route will turn east to Fujairah.

The following day, Wednesday 4 December, the crews will coast along the Gulf of Oman for some ninety kilometres, return to Dubai territory to experience lunch in the desert canyons, and finally return to Fujairah.

On the last morning of the race, they will head to the Dubai Autodrome, where the crews will have the opportunity to take a lap around the track. This will be followed by the last Time Trials near the Autodrome, before reaching the final finish line in Abu Dhabi in the afternoon.
