COPPA DELLE ALPI 2025, LEG STARTS IN THE SNOW. ENTRY INTO AUSTRIA THIS MORNING

Having left Samedan, a town just outside Saint Moritz overlooking the Inn River, the crews then entered the Swiss National Park. After yesterday’s heavy snowfall, the scenery is enchanting and the race route, especially on the mountain passes, could become even more challenging, especially for the drivers with the older cars.

The first trial was the Average Trial uphill on the Fuorn Pass, at the end of which the convoy arrived in the Val Müstair. Here a series of Time Trials were held, followed by a passage control near the Monastery of San Giovanni, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Returning to Italy from the Tubre Pass, was Lake Resia, on whose shore another series of trials were held. After a refreshing coffee break by the lake, the competitors will set off again, this time for Austria. An Average Trial immersed in the mountains of the Kaunergat Nature Park will precede a lunch stop in Stams.

The penalty classification updated after the trials in Val Müstair show Belotti-Plebani in the lead in their 1927 Bugatti T37 A, followed by Di Pietra-Di Pietra (1938 Fiat 508 C) and Ginesi-Rohr (1973 Porsche 911 2.4 T).
