SECOND LEG THROUGH SWITZERLAND, AUSTRIA AND ITALY

The second leg of the Coppa delle Alpi 2025 has ended. The almost 320-kilometre race took the crews from Samedan, just outside Saint Moritz, through the borders of Switzerland, Austria and Italy to the day’s finish line in Brixen.

At the end of a demanding morning, during which the drivers had to face 2 Average Trials and 2 series of consecutive Time Trials, the convoy stopped in Stams for the race lunch, passing by Lake Resia. After yesterday’s snowfall, the Average Trial uphill on the Fuorn Pass proved particularly challenging for the drivers.

In the afternoon, after the Passage Control in Seefeld, where the cars were enthusiastically greeted along the road leading to the Dorfplatz, the convoy began the descent towards Italy. Passing first through the outskirts of Innsbruck, the cars continued south to the Brenner Pass, for a series of Time Trials once they had crossed the border. About forty kilometres later, after the trials in Naz, the crews finally arrived in the Piazza del Duomo in Brixen, the second location on this leg of the Coppa delle Alpi.

The penalty classification after the second day of racing saw Alberto Aliverti and Francesco Polini in their 1937 508 C drive Matteo Belotti and Ingrid Plebani out of first place. Third were Mario Passanante and Alessandro Molgora in a 1937 Lancia Aprilia Berlina 1350.
