On Monday 1 June, entries officially opened for the 14th Bruno Boni Photography Competition – 1000 Miglia 2026. The initiative, organised in collaboration with 1000 Miglia Srl and the Club Mille Miglia Franco Mazzotti, and under the patronage of Brescia City Council and ACI Brescia, is once again seeking photographs that capture the magic of the Red Arrow. Participation is completely free and you have until 30 June to submit your images, aiming to replicate the success of the last three editions, which saw 1,300 people enter and 2,900 photographs submitted.
Taking part is simple and is all done entirely online: simply submit a maximum of 3 digital photographs taken along the entire route of the 1000 Miglia 2026. The photographs must be uploaded by the deadline via the platform on the brunoboni.it website. All details and requirements can be found directly on this page.
The entries will be judged by a qualified jury supported by a prestigious Honorary Committee. This team brings together representatives from local institutions, the leadership of the 1000 Miglia and the Automobile Club of Brescia, alongside professionals from the worlds of photography and the media.
The jury will draw up a list of the 15 best images. In addition to these official awards, the organisers and sponsors will present several special prizes. Among these, the Bruno Boni Cup stands out, established by the Boni family to reward the photograph that best captures the impact of the event on the people of Brescia, highlighting the spontaneity of the interaction between cars and the public within the city limits.
New Free Photo will, in turn, present the prizes for the best photograph in the Smartphone category and for the Photography Club with the best overall ranking. Prizes will also be awarded for the best black-and-white photograph, the most creative photograph and the best image taken in the Lazio region, which will receive the 8th Piero Taruffi Trophy. All the prizes up for grabs can be viewed here.
The prize-giving ceremony will take place in Brescia, at the prestigious Palazzo Loggia, on Saturday 19 September 2026 at 11:00 am. All participants will receive an official invitation.
