Road safety is not merely a set of rules to be followed, but a genuine culture to be built day by day through education and prevention. In this spirit, the Polizia di Stato and 1000 Miglia Srl have unveiled the new Pullman Azzurro, the Polizia Stradale’s mobile multimedia classroom, which renews its mission to raise awareness by focusing on advanced technologies, interactivity and total inclusivity.
The International Motorcycle Exhibition (EICMA) provided the ideal setting for the debut of the new vehicle, which builds on the legacy of the previous model, in service since 2016, to continue engaging with young people and members of the public in town squares and schools.
What’s new with the Pullman Azzurro
Assigned to the Polizia Stradale Section in Brescia, the new vehicle introduces significant innovations to make educational activities even more effective and accessible to everyone. Among the new features, a dedicated access ramp for people with disabilities stands out, removing all architectural barriers.
Inside, the multimedia set-up enables police officers to engage school groups and visitors with quizzes, videos and educational programmes tailored to different age groups. In the near future, the on-board experience will be enhanced by the addition of a realistic driving simulator, designed to allow participants to experience, in a safe environment, the dangers of the road and the consequences of distractions at the wheel.
The commitment of 1000 Miglia and the Polizia Stradale
This project was realised with the support of 1000 Miglia Srl and Brebemi Spa, which worked alongside the Polizia di Stato to fit out the new vehicle.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended, amongst others, by the Chief Executive of 1000 Miglia Srl, Fulvio D’Alvia, and Barbara Barra, Head of the Lombardy Polizia Stradale Division, who emphasised the value of collaboration between institutions and organisations linked to the world of motoring and mobility in promoting responsible driving behaviour.
The Fiamme Oro champions

The activities on board the vehicle were launched by the young people from the youth section of the Fiamme Oro, who were put through their paces with tests and questions on the Highway Code. Supporting them during the tests were two exceptional ambassadors from the Polizia di Stato Sports Group: motocross champion Kiara Fontanesi and motorcycling champion Michele Pirro, who shared with the youngsters the importance of discipline and safety.
