The seventh edition of the Coppa delle Alpi is returning for a second year with the St. Moritz Edition format, establishing itself as one of the most challenging and prestigious winter regularity races on the international scene. The event, restricted to a maximum of 70 cars built up to 1990, will be based in the famous Engadine resort and will follow a cross-border route through Switzerland, Italy and Austria.
The event will get underway on Thursday 4 March in St. Moritz with technical and administrative checks. In the afternoon, Leg 1 will begin with an initial practice session designed to allow competitors to familiarise themselves with their cars and the winter road surface.
Leg 2 will see the race get into full swing: Friday 5 March the convoy will set off from St. Moritz to immerse itself in the beauty of the Swiss National Park and the Val Müstair. Here, participants will cross the Italian border before heading up towards the Resia Pass and finally reaching the picturesque duty-free zone of Samnaun, also crossing into Austria. After lunch, the group will return to base, travelling through unique landscapes, starting with the Norbertshöhe, a breathtaking road in Austria.
The third day will bring new scenery with the descent into Valchiavenna and the crossing of the Valtellina, passing over mountain passes such as the Maloja and Bernina Passes, before returning to St. Moritz via the Val Poschiavo.
