Third edition of 1000 Miglia Warm UP USA is on its way

The third edition 1000 Miglia Warm UP USA, the event that prepares crews for the sporting part of the 1000 Miglia, gets underway. The 500-mile race will travel through Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland and will end on Saturday, Oct. 20, on Italian soil at the Italian Embassy in Washington, D.C.

Today, Oct. 19, at Summit Point Raceway, competitors take part in a training day, followed by three days of racing with time trials similar to those encountered during the 1000 Miglia.

The U.S. Warm Up is reserved for Sport, GT and super cars built from 1927 to present and divided between the 1000 Miglia Era Car Class (1927 to 1957) and the Post-1000 Miglia Era Car Class (1958 to present).

Six highly sought-after rights of acceptance to the 2023 1000 Miglia are up for grabs: two for the best veteran crews and for the two best novice crews in the 1000 Miglia Era Class. Another two acceptances will be awarded to the best veteran crew and the best novice crew in the Post 1000 Miglia Era Class.
