THE COPPA DELLE ALPI 2023 KICKS OFF

Everything is ready for the start of the third edition of the Coppa delle Alpi by 1000 Miglia, when 72 cars will set off in the late afternoon from Tirano.

During the morning, 50 crews will participate in the “Bergamo Brescia Italian Capital of Culture 2023” Trophy, an all-Brescia prologue to the race that celebrates the unbreakable bond between the 1000 Miglia and the city in the year of its investiture as Italian Capital of Culture.

After the start at 11:00 a.m. from the Mille Miglia Museum, the cars will drive along the city circuit that will take them from the Castle, where they will face the block of Time Trials valid for the Trophy, to the arrival in Corso Zanardelli, in the heart of Brescia.

In the afternoon, the official start of the Coppa delle Alpi 2023: from Tirano, the route will go beyond the Swiss border until crossing, at the end of a night climb almost 34 km long, the Bernina Pass, in the presence of the glaciers of Pizzo Palù, Bellavista and Bernina, not forgetting the famous white lake.

Driving through the Engadin, the cars will then reach the outskirts of Saint Moritz where, along the road that runs alongside the Horse Shoe (the section of the Olympia Bobrun, the world’s oldest bobsleigh track and the only one with natural refrigeration) they will compete in the first block of Time Trials that will decide the winner of the “City of Saint Moritz” Trophy.
