A FESTIVE SUNDAY IN THE CENTRE OF BRESCIA, INCLUDING THE INAUGURATION OF THE 1000-MILE VILLAGE AND THE GABURRI TROPHY

The centre of Brescia is already in the 1000 Miglia mood and with the inauguration of the Village in Piazza Vittoria, the pre-race phase is now in full swing. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was followed by the prize-giving ceremony for the art competition of the 1000 Miglia goes to school project, with the children present also decorating the car dedicated to the initiative that will be following the convoy. In the afternoon there was the presentation of the Zebra Odv Charity Car and the Maserati Gran Cabrio Folgore autonomous-driving car from the Politecnico di Milano University.

Finally, in the evening it was the turn of the Gaburri Trophy, the regularity race that saw 115 crews entered in the 1000 Miglia 2025 and the Ferrari Tribute compete in the city centre of Brescia. Triumphant were Andrea Luigi Belometti and Cristian Ricca on board a 1929 Lancia Lambda Spider Type 221, second were Bertoli-Vavassori in a 1925 O.M. 665 Superba and third were Vesco-Salvinelli in their 1929 Alfa Romeo 6C.

A prelude to the departure of the Red Arrow which, thanks to the warm summer afternoon, helped to fill the streets of the city centre, which welcomed the passage of the cars with great participation and enthusiasm.

The race left at 6:30 pm from Piazza Vittoria, inside the 1000 Miglia Village, after which the cars crossed Corso Zanardelli, where the first Time Trials were held. Continuing along Corso Magenta, the cars turned into Via Brigida Avogadro, then up towards the Castle and down Via San Faustino, passing first through Piazza Vittoria and finally ending in Piazza Paolo VI.
