The passage of the 1000 Miglia 2025 at the Naval Academy of Livorno was presented aboard the Amerigo Vespucci

Today, on the quarterdeck of the Amerigo Vespucci ship docked in the port of Livorno, the official presentation of the passage of the 1000 Miglia 2025 inside the Naval Academy, scheduled for 20 June, took place.

During the fourth leg of the race, which will take the cars from Cervia-Milano Marittima to Parma, the race cars coming from Montelupo Fiorentino – where the uphill route will cross the downhill route towards Rome in the second leg – will pass through the gates of the Naval Academy in Livorno to face a series of time trials before skirting the Versilia coast and continuing towards the Cisa Pass.

1000 Miglia and the Italian Navy also took the opportunity to announce a joint project which, although still in the planning stages, will lead to a multi-year collaboration that will continue until 2027, when the Red Arrow will celebrate its first hundred years.

During the meeting, the logo celebrating the collaboration between 1000 Miglia and the Italian Navy was unveiled, inspired by the flat knot, a symbol of union and connection between these two entities deeply rooted in Italian history and identity, which are coming together in a shared project in the name of tradition, technical excellence and national representation.

The logo will be visible on the livery of the cars along the 1900 kilometres that will cross Italy, in a route that recalls the “figure eight” shape of the routes of the first editions of the 1000 Miglia speed race, linking the north and south and the east of the Adriatic coast with the west of the Tyrrhenian coast, in a balance of historic legs and new routes.

The Italian Navy will make its debut in the 1000 Miglia convoy with a 1947 Fiat 1100 B Monviso cabriolet and a Land Rover Defender 90 driven by crews from the Armed Forces: a symbolic and concrete presence that highlights the shared values between the two organisations: spirit of service, sense of duty, respect for traditions and commitment to innovation.
