The many different perspectives on the most beautiful race in the world, the passion of spectators lining the route and the ability to capture the cars as they pass are once again at the heart of the XIV Bruno Boni Photography Competition – 1000 Miglia 2026. The initiative, organised by the Bruno Boni Cultural Association in collaboration with 1000 Miglia Srl and the Club Mille Miglia Franco Mazzotti, under the patronage of Brescia City Council and ACI Brescia, has announced its winners at the conclusion of a highly successful edition.
The competition attracted a large number of entrants: 350 photographers submitted a total of 920 photographs of the 1000 Miglia 2026, offering a rich and varied visual narrative. Participation was significant both locally – with 230 entrants from the city and province – and nationally, with 120 photographers from various Italian regions.
The competition renews and keeps alive the link between the Red Arrow race and the figure of Bruno Boni, the “Mayor of the 1000 Miglia”, who worked tirelessly for its return in the post-war period.
The prize-giving ceremony took place on Saturday 19 September before a gala audience in the Salone Vanvitelliano at Palazzo Loggia. The event was attended by the three children of the historic mayor Boni: Roberto (President of the Association), Franca (Chair of the Jury and Councillor of the Franco Mazzotti Mille Miglia Club) and Enrico.
Joining them were the President of the Automobile Club of Brescia Aldo Bonomi, the President of 1000 Miglia Srl Beatrice Saottini, the Vice-President of the Mille Miglia Club Silvestro Specchia and the Chairman of the City Council Roberto Rossini.
