The event will open with a two-day programme, on 28 and 29 November, at the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC): a grand showcase inviting the public to immerse themselves in the Italian spirit, style and charm that have always defined the tradition of the 1000 Miglia. Here, the crews will complete the entry and the administrative and technical checks of the cars, collect their race equipment and take part in the pre-start briefing, all in a festive atmosphere that attracts over 20,000 spectators every year.
The race will start on 30 November: during the next four days, 120 crews will cross all the seven Emirates, from the Dubai skyline to the Jebel Jais climb, from the desert dunes to the shores of the Gulf of Oman, right up to the hairpin bends of Jebel Hafeet. The route, enhanced this year by experiences never seen before in the region, will lead the crews to tackle a Time Trial on a track in the Tilal Swaihan desert and stop off at the Al Ain oasis.
There will be three categories in the race: the 1000 Miglia Class, reserved for cars from 1927 to 1957 eligible for the original 1000 Miglia; the Classic Icons Class, for classic cars manufactured up to 1985; and the Contemporary Icons Class, dedicated to modern classics and supercars produced after 1985.
