ARRIVAL TO ROME

The italian team composed by Andrea Vesco and Andrea Guerini leads the race

After passing through San Marino, the Mille Miglia convoy crossed the Marche, where the procession of vintage cars in the race caused excitement and admiration in thousands of people crowded along the race course, especially near Loreto and Macerata.

Currently leading the pack, we have Andrea Vesco and Andrea Guerini, with 27,554 points, driving an Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 GS Zagato made in 1931, followed by Giordano Mozzi and Stefania Biacca, at the wheel of a Alfa Romeo 6C 1500 Gran Sport from 1933, with 27,204 points. In third place we find Alberto Riboldi and Paolo Sabbadini, with 26,643 points, driving a O.M. 665 Superba Torpedo 2000 CC, built in 1926. In fourth place, with 26,153 points, is the Argentine team of Juan Tonconogy and Barbara Ruffini, driving a Bugatti T 40 from 1927, followed by Ezio Martino Salviato and Maria Caterina Moglia, also in a Bugatti T 40 from 1928, with 26,143 points.

The Mille Miglia procession is travelling to Rome along Via Salaria, in order to go through the time check that is traditionally held in Castel Sant’Angelo, although this year it will be performed in the magnificent setting of Villa Borghese.
