1000 Miglia 2025, convoy on its way to the leg finish line in San Lazzaro di Savena

Vesco-Salvinelli lead the classification after the first 24 Time Trials

After entering the Veneto area by crossing Peschiera del Garda, the crews of the 1000 Miglia 2025 continued towards Verona, thus returning to Piazza Bra after a two-year absence, in front of the Arena of Verona. Next up was Bovolone, a town in the Veneto plain which hosted a Passage Control and a Time Control.

In Stienta, along the banks of the Po, the stopwatches started again with a series of 10 trials, the last ones of this first leg of the 1000 Miglia 2025. The updated classification after these final trials sees Andrea Vesco and Fabio Salvinelli in the lead in their 1929 Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 Ss, followed by Erejemovic-Llanos in a 6C 1500 Ss, also from 1929, and Belometti-Ricca in a 1929 Lancia Lambda Spider Type 221.

Before stopping for dinner during the race, the drivers and co-drivers paraded through the city centre of Ferrara, immersing themselves in the Renaissance charm of Corso Ercole I d’Este, before taking in the beauty of the Estense Castle illuminated by the warm sunset light and parking in Piazza Trento e Trieste. Here there was the Time Control marking the start of the last sector of today’s race, which will lead the convoy to the finish line in San Lazzaro di Savena (Bologna) at around 9:15 pm. The city will welcome the crews in Piazza Luciano Bracci.

At the end of the first leg, Roland Hotz and Giordano Mozzi lead the Ferrari Tribute 1000 Miglia classification in an F8 Spider, while Mirco Magni and Federico Giavardi are in the lead of the 1000 Miglia Green in a Polestar 4.
