COPPA DELLE ALPI 2025, AFTER VALTELLINA, THE ARRIVAL IN ST. MORITZ UNDER THE SNOW

The first leg of the Coppa delle Alpi by 1000 Miglia 2025, which left Brescia at 9 am this morning, is come to an end. The updated classification sees Matteo Belotti and Ingrid Plebani in their 1927 Bugatti T 37 A in the lead, followed by Aliverti-Polini and Di Pietra-Di Pietra with two Fiat 508 C.

After a lunch stop in Tirano, the crews began to climb up the Valtellina, first passing Grosio, with the Castello Vecchio di San Faustino in the background, and then Bormio, which hosted a Passage Control in the historic centre. Once they left the town behind, the first white snowy views began to appear. Soon the crews found themselves immersed in a completely snow-covered landscape, made even more beautiful by the afternoon sunlight.

The first Average Trial of the event was held on the Eira Pass, at an altitude of 2000 metres, after which the convoy arrived in Livigno, where the drivers were welcomed for a coffee break in the Town Square. The welcome in the town centre was warm, with an enthusiastic crowd gathering near the finish arch of the town, a partner of the Coppa delle Alpi 2025.

Driving along Lake Livigno, frozen by the harsh winter temperatures, the crews entered Switzerland through the Munt la Schera tunnel.

The cars finally arrived in St. Moritz, the first leg finish of the Coppa delle Alpi 2025. Leaving the Leaning Tower of San Maurizio behind them, they carried out the last trials of the day and, after skirting Lake St. Moritz, they finally arrived at the final Time Control in the very central Via Serlas under a heavy snowfall.
