SECOND APULIAN LEG FOR THE 1000 MIGLIA EXPERIENCE ITALY. ARRIVAL IN BARI PLANNED FOR THE AFTERNOON

The second and final leg of the 1000 Miglia Experience Italy 2025 kicked off at 8:00 am this morning from the centre of Matera, always blessed with a radiant sunshine that will give competitors another day of ideal weather to enjoy the beauty of these southern Italian territories.

The results of yesterday’s sports trials currently see Vergamini-Fabrizi in the lead, aboard their Ferrari 488 GTB. In pursuit, a “family” challenge between Flavio Bettinaldi and Sonia Facchini and the co-driver’s parents, Alfonso Facchini and Luigia Olivetti: the former in a 1939 MG TB, the latter in the 1938 B.M.W 328 in which they won the past three editions of Sorrento Roads by 1000 Miglia.

After a Passage Control at the Gioia del Colle Military Airport, the Noci Average Trial opened the day’s sporting activities. After that, the crews could head to Alberobello. Similar to what happened yesterday in Matera, the cars drove through the streets of the Alberobello town centre, on one hand offering the participants the chance to admire the Trulli (UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996), either on board their cars or with a short guided tour, and on the other entertaining the local citizens, who, like yesterday, flocked in large numbers to admire the cars.

In the second part of the morning, we will get back into the thick of the sporting competition with two exciting series of Time Trials on track, first inside the Kartodromo 90 (about 20 kilometres from Alberobello), and then the last of this edition of the 1000 Miglia Experience Italy in the Circuito del Levante.

Following this, the crews will stop in Andria for lunch, from where the fifth and final sector of the race will start, taking them to the finish line in Bari, scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
