From the experience and success of the three editions of Sorrento Roads comes 1000 Miglia Experience Italy, an event that brought the spirit of the Red Arrow along a route that went beyond the classic 1000 Miglia itineraries, exploring new territories where driving merged with relaxation, exploring unforgettable places and flavours.
From 10 to 13 April, the crews, starting from Sorrento, embarked on a fascinating itinerary to discover the most evocative locations in Campania, Basilicata and Puglia.
THE ROUTE
After the technical and administrative checks carried out in the centre of Sorrento, the first day saw the crews challenge each other in the 1vs.1 regularity race to the hundredth of a second and compete for the "Città di Sorrento Trophy" along the characteristic Corso Italia promenade.
Leg 1, starting from the pearl of the Sorrento Peninsula, continued along the splendid Amalfi Coast, one of the most famous and scenic stretches of coastline in Italy, to reach Matera. Here, participants enjoyed an exclusive tour to discover the wonders of the city and had the opportunity to stay overnight among the characteristic Sassi, a World Heritage Site, for a truly unique experience.
Leg 2, after passing through the Murgia Materana Park, the crews headed to Alberobello, where the Trulli provided an unparalleled backdrop as the cars pass by. After stopping for lunch, the participants reached Castel del Monte, a masterpiece of medieval architecture, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996, known for its distinctive octagonal shape.
The competition ended in Bari, where the dinner and the award ceremony took place.
The first classified crew in the overall classification was guaranteed acceptance to the Coppa delle Alpi 2026.
