1000 Miglia Collection Days
A wealth of stories, images and artefacts recounting a hundred years of the 1000 Miglia
Looking ahead to 2027, the centenary of the first edition of the most beautiful Race in the world, the 1000 Miglia Collection Days have been launched: The project, conceived by 1000 Miglia Srl to bring to light the living, widespread memory of the Red Arrow, transforming its enthusiasts into the true storytellers of a century of passion, is curated by Professor Elena Pala, a historian at the University of Milan.
The initiative, developed in collaboration with all the group’s online and offline publications under Editoriale Bresciana (Giornale di Brescia, Teletutto and Radio Bresciasette), will collect and document the testimonies of anyone who has a memory linked to the 1000 Miglia, appealing not only to the Brescia community – which has historically been linked to the event – but to all those who, over the years, have had some connection with the historic race. Items eligible for inclusion in the collection include: vintage photographs, posters and historical printed material, notebooks containing drivers’ autographs, amateur footage, helmets, gloves and other racing accessories, memoirs, and mechanical components or parts.
Every item collected will help to build a shared archive of the event’s history.
The sessions will take place in the Sala Libretti at the editorial offices of the Giornale di Brescia, at 22 Via Solferino, over five afternoon sessions from 3.00 pm to 7.00 pm:
- 1st Collection Day: Wednesday 14 October 2026
- 2nd Collection Day: Wednesday 21 October 2026
- 3rd Collection Day: Wednesday 28 October 2026
